Payroll Manager

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the position of

Payroll Manager

Under general supervision, processes payroll and related timekeeping, coordinates employee benefits, performs accounting functions for the Sheriff’s Office. Responsible for processing all regular, overtime, and special payrolls on the monthly and bi-weekly payroll schedules. Computes payroll derived from information received from the timekeeping system and the Grants Coordinator to include worker’s compensation pay, overtime
pay, FMLA pay, and final payout for exiting employees. Processes new hires for payroll enrollment. Generates, edits, and disseminates materials and information, both electronic and hard copy, to communicate and explain Tulsa County and TCSO compensation practices to personnel at all levels. Responsible for accounting processes to include reconciling the Inmate Trust Account and grant accounts. Provides documentation for ACA assessments. Responds to State Auditors’ inquiries. May assist in the annual budgeting process and other accounting responsibilities to include special assignments. Supervises one employee that assists this position. Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
  • Bachelor’s Degree from approved accredited four-year college or university preferably in the field of business/financial/accounting
  • Over three years work experience in a related field. In addition, experience preferred in employee relations

$3,971.00/Month
