Under general Supervision, is responsible for the outfitting of emergency equipment on Sheriff’s Office vehicles. Maintaining equipment and inventory of equipment for the Sheriff’s FLEET. General repair and replacement of emergency equipment for use and re-use on the Sheriff’s FLEET
Responsible for outfitting the Sheriff’s FLEET with the required emergency equipment as per Oklahoma State Law. Maintaining inventory of emergency equipment assigned to each vehicle and inventory in stock for use. Applying vinyl graphics on different styles of vehicles. Keeping the shop clean, organized, and free of clutter. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Skill in basic knowledge; in outfitting vehicles with 12 volt DC emergency equipment; in maintaining records of inventory; and in application of principles of mounting, wiring, and connecting emergency equipment. Knowledge of 800 radio system 10 codes; of desktop computers; of interdepartmental correspondence; of departmental policies, rules and regulations pertaining to support operations; of security techniques; of inventory records; and of support operation procedures. Ability to gain respect and cooperation of
others; to keep alert and vigilant; to exercise initiative and independent judgment; to understand and follow oral and written instructions; and to deal tactfully with others.

Winter Hours Mon-Fri 7:00 am-3:00 pm
